Rhodia Silicones has received kosher certification for 21 silicone release coatings and emulsion products for direct and indirect use in processing of kosher food-grade products.
Rhodia satisfied the requirements of a rabbinical review of its manufacturing processes at its Rock Hill, SC, facility and the compositions of its emulsion and release coating products. The company is now able to provide kosher certification for a wide range of products and contact applications, including packaging and labeling.
Kosher certification, which assures dietary compliance (kashruth), is of importance to the Jewish community for both the food product and for its packaging materials.
